The Lethal Performance 2008 Shelby Gt500 made it's way to Moroso Motorsports Park for another night of drag racing. Although the weather wasn't nearly as nice as the last time we made it out we still had a good time. If you remember we recently ran an 11.90@116.5 on an almost stock car with only cooling mods and a set of Hoosier drag radials. The night we ran that 11.90 a cold front had just arrived and we had weather in the mid 40's. When we shot this video the air temps were in the mid 70's with 80% humidity. There was so much moisture in the air that dew was dripping off the roofs of everyones cars in the staging lanes. This time we had added a JLT Carbon Fiber high flow intake and a custom tune from Justin@VMP Tuning. After installing the intake and the tune the car felt totally different. Much more powerful giving us the ability to break the tires loose on the street unlike before as well as the whine of the supercharger was dramatically increased. From the seat of the pants meter the intake and tune made a very big difference from where we were at before but I believe the reason our track times didn't back that up was due to the 30 degree difference in air temperature we saw this evening. None the less we did pick up 2mph in the 1/4 and we feel if we see another cool night we'll be able to pull off 11.60's or 70's without any issues. So for now enjoy the video and please feel free to give us a call if there's anything we can help you with for your GT500!
